1st Rovies Food Fest: The Flavors Narrate Tales

Αn innovative festival, which will take place from 1 to 3 September, with a series of immersive culinary activities that narrates the stories of the region through its flavours and is based on the principles of sustainability and environmental protection.

The main event (3/9) will take the form of a large picnic in the historic olive grove of Rovies, a unique celebration where you will be able, along with what you bring in your own baskets, to taste local dishes and participate in various activities under the shade of the olive trees.

There is also a variety of culinary events:

• Jewels of the Euboean Gulf: Diving experience in the waters of the Euboean Gulf created by one of the first recorded tsunamis in history and sea-to-table tasting.
  The Cuisine of Poverty (Cucina Povera) and the local “Tiganokouloura”: Participatory creation and tasting of the famous local “Tiganokouloura” and an introduction to the diverse but forgotten influences of the local cuisine.
  The Nectar of North Evia: A tour around the creation of honey and tasting of its rare local varieties combined with local products.
  From the “Stani” to the Plate – The Meats of Rovies: Demonstration of cutting, grilling and tasting of the local production
