he Euboean seabed is a geological marvel, shaped by one of the earliest recorded tsunamis in human history in 427 BC. Renowned historian Thucydides recounts how the sea withdrew from the coast of Rovies in Euboea and then surged back, submerging and forever changing the land. This unique seascape is now home to the majority of the Mediterranean marine life, including the rare and protected posidonia seagrass.

The Experience

Begin your day with our famous brunch to continue with Akis, our diving instructor, who will introduce you to the captivating world of diving, focusing on safety and seabed preservation. Once you're geared up (equipment provided), it's time to dive in! Under Akis' guidance, you'll explore a vibrant underwater realm of rare posidonia, colorful starfish, and sponges, all captured on a GoPro action camera. After your diving adventure, it's time to embark on a culinary journey. Prepare fresh sea urchin salad and fish carpaccio using garden-fresh herbs, while learning about sustainable fishing methods and how to identify fresh fish. #responsiblysourced Your creations will be accompanied by carefully selected local wines or spirits, such as tsipouro or ouzo. Before dinner, take some time to relax, explore the area, or book another experience like a thermal spa session. The next day, take advantage of late check-in and enjoy our "Eggs and Bubbles" brunch.

The person

Akis, a Rovies native, has always been passionate about the sea. His journey into the world of diving began with a single fun dive, which led him to pursue professional certification. Along the way, Akis became an environmental activist, participating in numerous coastal and seabed clean-up initiatives in the region. As he often says, “From the sea, we take only pictures and leave bubbles.”
